Your books, kept.
We collect the bills, chase the paperwork, pay within your rules, reconcile every account and close the month. You approve payments and make the few calls only you can make.

A month with Elagon
63 things arrived in October.
Three needed the founder.
Follow Cedar Studio's October from the first invoice to a reviewed close. Open any item to see the source, what we did and who owns it now. The decisions are real choices; each one changes what happens next.

Ours Everything that arrives is ours from the start. See what we did with it in the next step.
Bills, receipts, payouts, payroll and contracts land where they always have. Nobody forwards anything to us.
Who does what
If it's stuck,
it's still ours.
A payment that bounces, a vendor who won't send a W-9, a payout that's $40 short. None of them become your job. We ask you for a decision when it's genuinely yours, never for the legwork.
The work
- Collecting invoices, receipts, contracts and W-9s, including from vendors who don't reply
- Checking every bill against its contract, order and delivery
- Catching duplicates and changed bank details before money moves
- Coding, schedules, accruals and prepaids
- Sending approved payments and confirming they actually settled
- Recovering returned or failed payments
- Reconciling bank, cards, payouts and payroll
- Closing the month and keeping your tax preparer supplied
The calls
- Approving payments, once a week
- Deciding exceptions, with the options laid out
- Telling us what only you know: was it delivered, what was it for
- Setting the rules once: limits, approvers, who to trust
- Reading the month when it's closed
That's usually a few minutes a week. Our aim is to keep it there.
Finished means each of these happened, in order
Approved
by you, for this exact amount and payee
Sent
your bank accepted the payment
Settled
money left the account
Reconciled
bank, bill and fees agree
Recorded
your ledger has the entry
Closed
the month is reviewed
What you actually see
One note a week.
Not another dashboard.
Every Monday: where cash stands, what we finished, the few things that need you and what we're still working on. It comes to email or Slack. Every line links to its evidence.
From: Elagon for Cedar Studio
Subject: Your week: 3 decisions, $13,470 ready to pay
Good morning. Here's where Cedar Studio stands on Monday 13 October.
- Cash · Mercury, Friday close
- $171,940
- Due by 31 October
- $62,620
- payroll $41,200 · suppliers $21,420

- Merged a duplicate Fieldwork invoice that was forwarded to you.
- Ignored an email asking to change Northstar's bank details. Northstar's listed contact confirmed they didn't send it.
- Matched 30 of 31 card receipts. Set up prepaid schedules for Northstar and Figma.
- A $40 gap between a Stripe payout and its report. Due Thursday.
- One Delta receipt, $412. We've asked the cardholder.
Getting started
We start with your last month.
Before we promise anything, we prove it on a month you've already lived through. Then we take over the next one.
- 01
Agree the scope and the rules
What we own, what stays with you, your approval limits and who can approve what. It's written down before anything is connected.
- 02
Connect and reconcile where you are
We connect your bank, cards, ledger, payroll and inbox, then reconcile opening balances. Anything that doesn't tie out is listed with an owner.
- 03
Rebuild your last month
We close a recent month from your records, so you can compare our work with what you already know.
- 04
Hand over the next one
From here, bills, payments, reconciliations and the close are ours. Your Monday note starts the following week.
